About
Flightphase is an art and design studio based in Brooklyn. We are dedicated to creating work that is engaging and evocative, creating a unique design and format solution for any challenge. We develop a variety of art and commercial projects, embracing emerging technologies, interactivity and new media as well as all the traditional tools of creative expression from pencils to film to product design.
Flightphase was founded in 2009 by Karolina Sobecka, who was previously a Creative Director at The Ebeling Group’s motion graphic studio Convert, and before that she worked as a freelance Creative Director, Designer and Animator. Karolina’s art work has been widely exhibited, including exhibitions at MOMA, Victoria and Albert Museum, Beall Center for Art and Technology and others.
James George joined FlightPhase in 2010 as the Lead Creative Coder. James holds a degree in in computer science with a focus on digital arts. He worked previously as a freelance software developer and coding for media arts projects.
Frank Pichel has worked as a Creative Director at Digital Kitchen, Superfad, and Favorite Color and brings to Flightphase his eye for branding and design and extensive experience in motion graphic industry.
